NAMES, EXPLAINED
“Afghan hashish oil” for hair: where the name comes from, and how it differs from Afghani Oil
Short answer: in Gulf markets, “hashish oil” (zayt al-hashish) is a long-standing trade name for hair oils of many sizes and formulas, sold by many sellers. It is a label, not an ingredient list. The Afghani Oil sold on this store contains no cannabis or hashish: it is a 50 ml dropper oil built on five botanicals printed on the label.
Why two names get mixed up
Search for the Afghan hair oil in Arabic and you meet two phrases side by side: al-zayt al-afghani (“the Afghan oil”) and zayt al-hashish al-afghani (“Afghan hashish oil”). Marketplaces use them interchangeably for 250 ml, 225 ml and 160 ml bottles from different brands, some with “original” or “five-star” added. The result is a crowded shelf where the same words describe different products.
What the name means, and what it does not
“Hashish” in these product names is a market label inherited from older naming, not a declaration of cannabis content. We cannot speak for other sellers’ formulas; we can speak for ours. The Afghani Oil sold here contains no cannabis, hashish, hemp or CBD. Its five botanicals, saw palmetto, pumpkin seed, rosemary, black seed and amla, are printed on the label and explained in the ingredients guide.
What a searcher is usually looking for
- A hair oil they have seen recommended under that name, and a way to tell the “original” from imitations.
- A price in Saudi riyals and a trustworthy place to buy.
- Reassurance about what the oil contains.
This page answers the third point for our product and points to the pages that answer the first two: how to recognise the official product and the product page, which shows the current price in your market.
How to tell our product apart
Three checks: the store (buyafghanioil.com, operated by SALMI LLC), the bottle (50 ml glass with a glass dropper and a terracotta cap, not a 250 ml bottle), and the label (the five botanicals above). Anything sold under a “hashish oil” name in a different size or with a different ingredient list is a different product from a different seller.
